In 2026, the 8th European EURAF Conference will take place at the University of Neuchâtel. The conference location will be in the Main Building, ideally located near the lake, at Avenue du 1er-Mars 26, 2000 Neuchâtel.

The Keynote sessions will take place in the Aula des Jeunes-Rives, a large, bright auditorium just a few steps away from the main building.

Public transport within Neuchâtel
The venue is located a 10 minutes walk from Neuchâtel train station, 5 minutes by funicular (Fun’Ambule – FUN 110) or 10 minutes by bus :
Take Line 106, 107, or 109 towards Place Pury, get off at the Place Pury stop, then take Line 101 towards Marin-Epagnier and get off at the “Neuchâtel Université” stop.
You can buy a ticket at the station ticket office on the first floor, on the SBB website https://www.sbb.ch/en or directly at the bus stop ticket machines.
Don't forget that you will receive a pass for free public transport with your hotel reservation in Neuchâtel City (Neuchâtel Tourist Card).

Venue social events
The opening ceremony will take place at the “Aula des Jeunes-Rives” on Tuesday, June 23. 5 minutes walking distance from the main conference building.
- An icebreaker event will be held on Monday evening, June 22, at the “Cité des étudiants”, Clos-Brochet 10, 2000 Neuchâtel, 10 minutes walking distance from the main conference building.
- The Raclette party will be on Thursday, June 25, at “Espace Fachinetti,” Faubourg du Lac 13, 2000 Neuchâtel (Stade de la Maladière). 10 minutes walking distance from the main conference building.
How to get to Neuchâtel ?
By train

Several international trains connect via the major cities of Zurich or Basel, which are only a 2-hour train ride from Neuchâtel.

By car
Neuchâtel is directly connected by highways from Basel, Geneva, Chiasso, and St. Margrethen. Don't forget to purchase a motorway sticker, which you can buy at gas stations near the border or online at https://via.admin.ch/shop/dashboard for CHF 40 (approx. EUR 43.50).
There are car parks near the university, such as Parking de la Maladière, Parking de la Patinoire, and Parking du Port, as well as various outdoor parking spaces that can be paid for at shared parking meters. Please note that parking spaces in blue zones are limited to 1 hour.
By airplane
The international airports of Geneva, Zurich, and Basel are approximately 2 hours away from Neuchâtel. From there, you can take the train or rent a car at the airport.
