What Is Raclette & Why It’s Special
Example image of how to make a RacletteRaclette is a traditional and iconic Swiss culinary experience, originally from the Valais region in Switzerland. The name comes from the French word “racler” (“to scrape”), referring to the way the melted cheese is scraped from its wheel onto your plate.

Historically, alpine herders used to warm a wheel of cheese by the fire and scrape off the melted layer over potatoes — a practice dating back many centuries and now celebrated across Switzerland and beyond as a joyful, social meal.

At our evening, you’ll enjoy 2 sorts of organic raclette cheese produced by small, passionate family businesses. Raclette will be served with the classic accompaniments (potatoes, pickles and other sides), all designed to celebrate this convivial tradition and make the most of your evening together.

    Dietary Options:
Lactose: Raclette cheese is naturally lactose-free because the lactose is broken down during the long cheese-ripening process.
Vegan Option: A vegan alternative will also be available — please let us know your preferences in advance.
